After travelling through the 24-mile New Croton Aqueduct, the water reaches the Jerome Park Reservoir in the Bronx, where it enters New York City’s distribution system. Water withdrawn from the reservoir’s western tip flows into the continuation of Cross River, empties into the Muscoot Reservoir, and from there flows to the New Croton Reservoir for further settling.
